「ＡＮＳＩ」American National Standards Institute

米国規格協会。ANSIは、米国における国家規格の調整及び承認を行う唯一の機関である。 昇降機に関する規格には、ANSI A17.1 Saftey Code for Elevators and Escalators 及び ANSI A17.2 Inspectors'Manual for Elevat ors and Escalators があり、何れも規格作成者はAMSE（American Society of Mechanical Engineers の略で、アメリカ機械学会）である。
